Queen's Wharf, Brisbane Wikipedia

Perched at the end of the Neville Bonner bridge, Pompette will also boast spectacular river views, making it the perfect spot for an afternoon drink before moving your attention to eats like steak au poivre, escargot, steak tartare, souffle and more. The champagne bar and restaurant will dish up modern interpretations of traditional French dishes in a stunning, Parisian-inspired space complete with a leafy alfresco area and three private dining rooms. Not content with opening just one new venue inside Queen’s Wharf, the Tassis Group is opening two, with French-inspired Pompette set to join Dark Shepherd on The Terrace as of September this year. With dark and moody interiors featuring plenty of marble, black furnishings and spacious circular booths, Dark Shepherd will be dishing up classic Greek and broader Mediterranean feeds cooked over a wood-fired grill, emphasising exceptional produce, clever cooking techniques and punchy flavours. The Queen’s Wharf restaurant line up is starting to look like a who’s who of Brisbane’s hospitality scene, with Tassis Group the latest crew to announce they’ll be opening a venue in the mammoth precinct. Head chef Zac Sykes, ex-Merivale and Rockpool, has designed a menu that fuses Latin American and Asian flavours, which will be complemented by an extensive cocktail list.
Black Hide Steak & Seafood will move from the Treasury Brisbane to the new precinct into a 240-seat restaurant. Cicada Blu, an open-air bar and Euro-inspired eatery called Aloria will both be located on the Sky Deck. Queen's Wharf consists of four towers situated atop a seven-storey podium and a five-level basement. Seven and a half hectares of space have been allocated for public use.
Sitting 100 meters above the streets of the, Sky Deck offers breathtaking City views to pair with its three perfectly positioned venues. Amid the world-class development, Queen's Wharf also offers expansive green spaces, including a total of seven parks, courtyards, and public spaces. It's not just about the games; it's about the vivid experiences, the stunning aesthetics, and the unforgettable moments that one can have. The Star Brisbane features the 5-star The Star Grand luxury hotel, and offers an exciting array of new restaurants, bars and entertainment experiences and the property’s state-of-the-art Event Centre which is home to Brisbane’s largest hotel ballroom.
Taking its name from Treasury Brisbane's iconic LiveWire 24/7 Sports Bar, the new LiveWire is dedicated to live entertainment, showcasing a lineup of local music and comedy acts (there's also a slick Sports Bar alongside it, if you're wondering where you'll catch all the games). That's just the beginning though—once it's finally complete, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will be home to dozens of new cafes, bars and restaurants, three world-class hotels, luxury retailers, public spaces and of course, the new casino in brisbane australia, The Star Brisbane. While not everything inside is open yet, plenty of public spaces and venues are, which means we can all finally get a peek inside the mammoth development.
In turn, I aspired to be that source of encouragement and affirmation for others, fostering an environment where authenticity is celebrated and safeguarded. Together, The Star Brisbane and broader Queen’s Wharf precinct is attracting an estimated 1.4 million additional visitors each year. Perched 37 metres above street level, a 12,000sqm open-air Leisure Deck delivers an impressive mixed-use space for hotel guests and the public to enjoy. It is also home to a multi-million dollar collection of public artworks including a stunning golden sculpture by world recognised artist Lindy Lee. Positioned at the heart of the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, The Star Brisbane commenced a staged opening on August 29, 2024. In August 2025, Star Entertainment Group sold their stake in the development. The Dorsett and Rosewood hotels are due to open by the end of 2026.
With exceptional games, an intimate poker room, state-of-the-art gaming machines, and a high-end hotel, it sets a new benchmark in gaming and hospitality. The Leisure Deck features an Event Deck, expansive lawn area for sunset picnics and exclusive resort amenities overlooking the city skyline. Soaring 100 metres above the Brisbane River, the rooftop space features spectacular restaurants and bars where locals and visitors meet, celebrate, or simply soak in the breathtaking views. A set of escalators lead visitors to the high roller level.
By October 2021 the lift cores for both the Dorsett hotel and Rosewood hotels had reached level 21. Australia’s first 6-star Rosewood hotel and the grandeur of one of city’s most iconic heritage hotels, the Treasury Hotel, are coming soon. This new world-class precinct places Brisbane on the map as a tourism, leisure and entertainment destination. We’ll keep you posted when we know more about what’s coming to the precinct, but you can also stay up to date and get all the latest construction news on The Star Brisbane website. The entire precinct will also encompass seven heritage listed buildings across several blocks, all the way down to The Treasury Building, with plans for everything from a microbrewery and speakeasy bar to a cooking school and aboriginal art gallery in the works for the spaces once they are restored. The open-air green spaces behind the massive precinct will provide areas for moonlight cinemas, pop-up markets and other outdoor events, with luxe shopping options onsite for when you win big at the casino.
With breathtaking views of the Brisbane River, Cucina Regina lives up to its name "Kitchen Queen" by serving meals fit for royalty.
